I hear from so many people that "they used to make furniture that lasted", and sadly that is the truth, "they" don't make furniture that lasts, but we do. You can run to ikea and grab a cool table, a furniture store or big box retail company could get you a great fit, but chances are it wont be the one you see your grandkids sitting at, right? Totally great for some purposes, but why not have a table with history to it? Imagine having a table that you ate dinner at with your husband for the very first time, that you get to incorporate that into your home and life and your grandchildren can hear about that point in time where it a...

When we were back in the old shop (cough*garage*cough), this project took up the work space almost completely.

It is so incredibly sturdy and hefty, we just wish all kitchens were this open and perfect to fit islands like this one. There are 3 drawers, a lower shelf, space for stools, and a stellar piece of granite to top it off.

We even got cookies when we arrived to get some photos of the finished product. How sweet this home owner is. Can we come over all the time?!

There is something about old farmhouse doors. Something that makes us want to have them in our homes, but what do you do with them? Well, one option is turning them into stellar coffee tables like this one. (When in doubt, turn it into a table.)

This one is a specifically from a farm in Woodstock, IL.

It has all of the original hardware still in tact.

This is one for a wonderful woman from the Mansion, that we wish could have stayed right in our living room. The material is all from Black Point, floor boards, support beams and gorgeous showcased na...

This project was one of our absolute favorites. Jonathan spent lots of time in the shop making sure every detail was right for these wonderful folks. They are a missionary family that spends a lot of time at their table with family, friends, and travelers and wants the ability to accommodate everyone and anyone who wishes to join them for meals. This table comes in at 11' long, is made of 14 pieces, and includes an off-centered leaf to remove for the use of either of the two tables that remain. The benches are insanely comfortable! This set up was made to fit directly in their kitchen, butting up to three walls and fitting like a...
